Methodist Church Tendring United phone 01255 688224

That’s the name we have given to the website for the  Tendring Circuit
of the Methodist Church.
Our unity is three fold:

From September 1st 2010 the churches of the Manningtree and Harwich Circuit, the
churches of the Clacton-on-Sea Circuit together with two churches from the Colchester
Circuit came together to form the Tendring Circuit.

Three of the churches are in partnership with the United Reformed Church and another is in a Covenant with their local Anglican church.

Churches are active members of the Churches Together groups in their locality.

trinity_between_1881and1887

Trinity Wesleyan Church was built in 1877 and the water tower to the left in 1881. The road is Pier Avenue with Rosemary Road branching off to the left and joining Old Road where the water tower is situated. The roads are unmade and there are no kerb stones but trees, all carefully protected by wooden palings, have been planted on the verges of the footpaths. Pier Avenue continues into the distance where it joins Old Road, but there are no buildings yet on either side of it. the Church Schools Hall, which was built in 1887, is not shown in this picture, so the image of the Methodist Church can be dated somewhere between 1881 and 1887.

Hello I am running a local organ, blood and stem cell donor campaign promoting the flesh and blood campaign. This is encouraging new donors to join the register. I have joined the organ donor register myself it is a self less act of compassion that I am proud to have made.It is a great comfort knowing I can save another’s life and I want this for others. Would you receive some leaflets, posters and a letter to your church explaining about this. I can leave some leaflets for you to display. Can I interest you, who would I send these to?. Please send me a email on given email address. Thank you and look forward to your contact.

    Hi,
Very good idea of launching this page. Whenever I try to reach any church for information or booking, I find it really difficult. But this page has all the information required.Thanks.

Methodism is characterized by its emphasis on helping the poor and the average person, its unlimited salvation aspect, its very systematic approach to building the person, and the “church” and its missionary spirit. These ideals are put into practice by the establishment of hospitals, universities, orphanages, soup kitchens, and schools to follow Jesus’ command to spread the Good News and serve all people. Its really very good to provide this information provide here because its hard to find the information about Church. Thanks.

Lovely pictures of the church especially the older one!
It recollected some fond memories of my visit to the church of clacton for a prayer meeting few months back. The methodist church was very well designed, spacious and decorated with nice paintings of Jesus and Mother Mary.It was a very soothing experience.
