Clacton FoodCycle Hub

FoodCycle Clacton-on-Sea Hub

Our volunteers are a diverse bunch, with the youngest in their early 20s and the eldest in their 60s. There are lots of jobs to be done, whether sourcing the food from shops and stores, preparing it, cooking it, serving, washing-up and cleaning the dining room and kitchen afterwards. We’re always looking for new volunteers and anyone can volunteer with us.

To volunteer, please register on My FoodCycle and sign up to one of our events. You will need to take the food hygiene quiz before you can join the cooking team.

If you’re struggling and need a free meal in Clacton-on-Sea on Mondays, you can come along to the Trinity Methodist Church at 12:30PM – anyone is welcome to enjoy a healthy meal.

Lots of different people can be at risk from food poverty and social isolation. Our Hub serves people in the community including homeless people, older people, low-income families and people with mental health issues, providing a tasty nutritious meal in a friendly and safe environment. If you could help us to provide a meal for someone today, please donate just £3.
